A Gloves Rooms guide

What to See in Naples in 3 Days

Three days to bring together historic Naples, its traditional neighborhoods, its food, its views and the sea, without losing the joy of discovery.

More time, more Naples

With three days, you can mix famous sights with unexpected detours. This itinerary starts from the Gloves Rooms area, groups the stops by neighborhood and leaves each evening free enough to follow a tip you pick up along the way.

Day 1 The Sanità, archaeology and the old town

Morning

The Rione Sanità

Start close to the B&B with Borgo dei Vergini, Palazzo dello Spagnolo and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità. Consider the catacombs if you'd like to dig deeper.

Lunch

From the neighborhood to the Museum

Stop for lunch between the Sanità and Piazza Cavour, then head to the National Archaeological Museum.

Afternoon

The MANN

Spend the afternoon with the collections from Pompeii, Herculaneum and the ancient world, choosing the sections that interest you most.

Evening

Piazza Bellini

Head down to the old town for an aperitivo and dinner, without straying too far from the next day's route.

Day 2 The decumani and local flavors

Morning

The Duomo and San Gregorio Armeno

Enter the historic center from the Duomo, continue past the nativity-scene workshops and reach the Sansevero Chapel (reservation required).

Lunch

Neapolitan street food

Pick a pizza a portafoglio, a frittatina or a cuoppo and take a break in one of the squares of the historic center.

Afternoon

Spaccanapoli and Santa Chiara

Continue toward San Domenico Maggiore, Santa Chiara and Gesù Nuovo, taking in the courtyards and craft shops along the way.

Evening

Dinner in the center

Stay among the decumani, the ancient streets of the old town, or head back to the Sanità for a quieter evening.

Day 3 The Spanish Quarter, monumental Naples and the sea

Morning

Via Toledo and the Maradona Mural

Walk along Via Toledo, step into the Spanish Quarter and make your way to the Maradona Mural. Take your time to look at the shops, balconies and narrow streets.

Lunch

Piazza Carità and Nennella

For a lively experience, try Nennella: traditional cooking, a waiting list and an atmosphere where everyone joins in. Alternatively, choose a trattoria in the area.

Afternoon

Plebiscito and the waterfront

Walk through the Galleria Umberto I, reach Piazza del Plebiscito and finish between Santa Lucia and the waterfront.

Evening

A farewell view

Stay by the sea for sunset or head back toward Toledo. This is the moment to look back on all you've experienced, not to squeeze in one more sight.

Experience Naples from the right place.
