2. Types of data processed
Browsing data
When you visit the website, the server hosting it automatically records certain technical data in its logs: IP address, browser and device type, date and time of the visit, and pages requested. This data is needed to run the website and keep it secure; we do not use it to identify you.
Data you provide when you contact us
If you email us, call us or contact us on WhatsApp, we process the data you choose to share with us: your name, contact details and the content of your message. The website has no contact forms, newsletters or registration areas.
Booking data
The “Book now” button takes you to the BB Planner booking management system, where you choose your dates and complete your booking. To manage your booking and stay, we process:
- personal and contact details;
- dates of stay and number of guests;
- details of guests' identity documents, as required by law;
- billing details.
Payment (card) data is handled by the booking management system and the payment network: Gio & Gio S.r.l.s never sees full card numbers.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website only uses technical tools and, with your consent, the Google Maps map. You can find full details in the Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Why we process data | Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR) |
|---|---|
| To run the website and keep it secure | Legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| To respond to your requests for information and contact | Pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) or legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f)) |

| To display the Google Maps map on the Contact page | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time |
4. Third-party services
Google Maps
The Contact page features a map provided by Google Ireland Limited. The map is loaded only after you give your consent: until then, the website does not contact Google's servers. Once the map is loaded, Google may collect data such as your IP address and set cookies, processing this data as an independent controller. Data may be transferred to the United States: the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google participates. To learn more, read the Google Privacy Policy.
BB Planner booking management system
The “Book now” button is a simple link: the website does not load any BB Planner scripts or content. The data you enter on the platform to book and pay is processed for the purposes described above.
Links to WhatsApp and other platforms
The website contains simple links to external services. No data is sent to these platforms until you click the link; from that point on, their own privacy notices apply:
- WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Meta group) – privacy policy
- Google Maps, to open the address or get directions – privacy policy
- Booking.com – privacy policy
- Tripadvisor – privacy policy
Our Naples guides also contain links to informational websites (for example public transportation, the airport, restaurants and photo sources), which open only if you select them.
5. Recipients of the data
Data is processed by the controller and by authorized staff. Where necessary, it may be disclosed to:
- Aruba S.p.A., the website's hosting provider, acting as processor;
- BB Planner, the provider of the booking management system, acting as processor;
- payment service providers, to collect payment for your stay;
- public authorities, for the legal obligations listed above: the Italian State Police (Alloggiati Web), ISTAT and related statistical bodies, the City of Naples and the tax authorities;
- consultants and accountants, where necessary, who are bound by confidentiality.
Data is never published or sold.
6. How long we keep data
- Browsing data: for the period set by the hosting provider, generally up to 12 months.
- Contact data: for as long as needed to handle your request and then for up to 24 months, unless the law requires otherwise (for example, 10 years for tax data if a business relationship arises).
- Booking data: for the duration of the relationship and then for 10 years for tax purposes.
- Guests' identity document data: processed to notify the local police headquarters (Questura) through the Alloggiati Web portal and kept only for the time and within the limits set by that legislation.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask for your consent again.
7. Is providing data mandatory?
Providing your data is optional, but without your contact details we cannot reply to you. To book, the data requested by the booking management system is required, as are, by law, the details of guests' identity documents: without them, we cannot confirm your stay.
8. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, you can request at any time:
- access to your data;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- erasure of your data;
- restriction of processing;
- data portability;
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
You can also withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. For the map, simply use “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any page. To exercise your rights, write to info@glovesrooms.it: we will reply within one month.
9. Complaints to the supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, Italy – www.garanteprivacy.it.
10. Automated decision-making and profiling
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing and we do not carry out profiling.
11. Changes to this privacy notice
We may update this privacy notice to reflect changes in the law or to the website. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
