A Gloves Rooms guide

What to See in Naples in 2 Days

Two full but relaxed days, designed to start from Gloves Rooms and take in Naples without turning your trip into a race.

A weekend in the heart of Naples

Thanks to its location, Gloves Rooms lets you start in the Rione Sanità and walk to the Archaeological Museum and the old town. On day two, the route widens out to Via Toledo, the Spanish Quarter, Piazza del Plebiscito and the sea.

Times are approximate and depend on your pace, breaks and the sights you choose to enter. For the Sansevero Chapel and museums, it's wise to check opening hours and reservations on the official websites.

Day 1 The Sanità and the old town

Morning

The Rione Sanità and the Archaeological Museum

Set off from Salita Sant'Elia, walk through Borgo dei Vergini and take in Palazzo dello Spagnolo. Continue to the National Archaeological Museum and allow at least two hours for the main collections.

Lunch

Flavors of the historic center

Head down toward Piazza Bellini and choose a simple break: pizza, fried treats or Neapolitan cooking. Save room for a coffee or a sfogliatella.

Afternoon

Spaccanapoli and San Gregorio Armeno

Walk along the decumanus, the ancient main street, visit San Gregorio Armeno and make your way to the Sansevero Chapel. Continue toward Santa Chiara and Piazza del Gesù.

Evening

The center at a slower pace

Stay in the old town for dinner or head back toward the Sanità. Evening is the perfect time to wander without too rigid a plan.

Day 2 Toledo, the Spanish Quarter and the sea

Morning

Via Toledo and the Spanish Quarter

Make your way to Via Toledo and venture into the Spanish Quarter. Stop by the Maradona Mural and watch everyday life unfold in the narrow streets.

Lunch

A traditional local table

Piazza Carità is a convenient stop for some traditional working-class cooking. If you choose Nennella, keep in mind that it doesn't take reservations and operates with a waiting list.

Afternoon

Plebiscito and the waterfront

Continue on to the Galleria Umberto I, Teatro San Carlo and Piazza del Plebiscito. Then walk down toward Santa Lucia and treat yourself to a stroll along the waterfront.

Evening

Naples by night

Linger between the sea and Chiaia, or head back by metro from the Toledo area. Plan your evening around the energy you have left, not around a list of sights.

Experience Naples from the right place.
